Production Executives

Requirements for membership in the Production Executives Peer Group

Please note that any requirements for credits, number of programs, number of hours or days, or percentages of time spent (as outlined below) are requirements which must have been met within the four years preceding one's application for membership; also, such requirements apply in each instance to the production or distribution of audio visual works for national exhibition.

Active Status:

Employment as an executive level of director or above (does not include "show level") for at least 2 years within the past 4 years with oversight of the production elements of creative content within the context of any and all genres of programming for studios, networks, visual media, broadband and production companies. Active status may include executives who have moved into or hold a director level or above for less than two years, after having held lower executive positions for at least two of the past four years.

  • Production
  • Post Production
  • Production Accounting
  • Production Executive Consultants
  • Production Music
  • Production Safety
  • Clearance, Product Placement & Integration
  • Promotional & Publicity Production/Post Production

Body of Work Clause:
Individuals who have a significant body of work in production executive positions in television, but who do not meet the requirements stated above, may nevertheless apply for a Body of Work status, to be determined by the Production Executive Peer Group Executive Committee.

Associate Status:

Employment at an executive manager level or below, or executive director level and above for less than two years, with oversight of production of creative content within the context of any and all genres of programming for studios, networks, visual media, broadband and production companies.
