Chris Newman is a vice president in the television department at the William Morris Agency. Newman represents producers, talent and writers in the alternative area. His clients include Erin Brockovich, Ryan Seacrest, Jesse James, Super Delicious (NBC’s Amnesia, MTV’s The ’70s House and Spike TV’s Manswers), A. Smith & Company (Hell’s Kitchen, Paradise Hotel and The Swan), and the …For Dummies book franchise. As a packaging agent, he has been involved in packaging several television series and specials, including Starting Over, Paradise Hotel, Life & Style, The Dudesons and the World Stunt Awards. Prior to joining William Morris in 1996, he was CEO and founder of several start-up ventures, the first launched at age 19. Three start-ups later, and ready for a new challenge, Newman set his sights on becoming an agent, starting in the William Morris mailroom as an agent trainee. He was fortunate enough to work at the desks of former vice chairman Jerry Katzman and executive vice president Mark Itkin.

Anne Damborg Pedersen is currently a consultant in the business affairs department at ABC Network Television. Prior to that she spent 12 years with International Creative Management, the last nine as vice president of business affairs servicing the agency’s talent, literary, directing and producing clients in all areas of television. Before ICM, she worked at Paramount Network Television, Universal Merchandising and Spelling Television. Pedersen graduated with degrees in Political Science and Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, and earned a law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She serves on the board of directors of the California Alumni Association, and is active with numerous philanthropic endeavors, including Sandpipers (an organization serving needy families in the South Bay), and the Library Council and Young Literati (both supporting the Los Angeles Public Library System). She is also on the Planning Committee of the USC Entertainment Law and Business Institute.
