David Bellini was an Italian writer, director and producer best known for his work on Un medico in famiglia, one of the most successful television series in Italy.
Bellini also served as head writer of the Italian programs Tetris and Festa Italiana, and he was the creator and director of the documentary series including Passaggi Segreti and Tra cielo e terra.
In 2013, Bellini was appointed as the spokesman of the Writers Guild Italia (WGI) in Los Angeles. Beginning in 2014, he also taught Italian-style screenwriting at the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles.
Bellini died from cancer on October 20, 2016, in Spain. He was 43.
