Jerry Buck
William G. "Jerry" Buck was a journalist who covered the television industry as a worked as a reporter and columnist for the Associated Press for more than 30 years.
During his career with the AP, which spanned from 1960 until his retirement in 1992, he got his start in general news and eventually focused on entertainment. His television work included many topics, including the rise of cable television, the videocassette and the growth of political coverage.
He also foresaw the advent of reality television, and wrote about its impact years before it became an influential programming genre.
