He is perhaps best known to television audiences for his portrayal of Paul Reiser's father, Burt Buchman, on the NBC series Mad About You. He played the role from 1993 to 1999.

Zorich and actress Olympia Dukakis, who won a supporting actress Oscar for playing Cher's mom in Moonstruck (1987), had been married since 1962.
