Susan Spencer is an Entertainment Marketing executive with extensive Global experience building, managing and executing billion dollar brands in Filmed Entertainment, Television, Live and Location based entertainment, Home Video as well as franchise partnerships and other groundbreaking deals.

Susan Spencer is an Entertainment Marketing executive with extensive Global experience building, managing and executing billion dollar brands in Filmed Entertainment, Television, Live and Location based entertainment, Home Video as well as franchise partnerships and other groundbreaking deals.

Susan most recently held the position of EVP/Head of Marketing Services at DreamWorks Animation where she shepherded the successful global releases of Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Madagascar, Puss In Boots and other feature length animation. Reporting directly to the CMO, she was responsible for managing the Creative Services teams including Print / AV Creative Production, Digital / Social Media, and Special Events. She managed the day-to-day relationship with DWA's Marketing and Distribution partners, at 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, ODW (China) and CJ Entertainment (Korea).

With many years of Promotion Marketing experience in Film, DVD, Television and Theme Parks, Susan joined the DWA team in 2005 where she was responsible for the strategic development and implementation of National Promotions for DreamWorks Animation films, Home Video, Television Specials, Live Theatrical Production and Product Placement. She managed multi-year global alliance partnerships with Fortune 500 companies including HP, Intel, McDonald's, Kellogg's and General Mills.

Prior to joining the DWA, Spencer served as Vice President, Local Sales and Marketing at Universal Studios Hollywood where she oversaw Promotions, Corporate Sponsorships, Internet and Latino marketing activity, as well as Sales teams focused on ticket sales to corporate, military, youth and education clients. Susan solicited and managed over $150 MM in marketing partnerships with Coca-Cola, Kodak, Nestle Waters, JP Morgan Chase along with other media, retail and packaged goods companies.

Before that, she was Executive Director, National Promotions, Feature Film Licensing & Merchandising at Fox Consumer Products, where she managed promotional campaign for live action and animated films.

In addition, Spencer held posts at Weintraub Entertainment Group, De Laurentiis Entertainment Group and started her Entertainment Marketing career working in print advertising with Seiniger Advertising.

Susan has headed many PMA Reggie and EMMA award-winning programs and served as a PMA Board Member. She has guest lectured on Feature Film Marketing, Promotions and Corporate Sponsorship for undergraduate and graduate programs at UCLA, USC and Cal State University Long Beach.

Spencer has an undergraduate degree in Communications and Journalism from USC.
