Walt Case

Walt Case was a producer best known for his work on game shows. He was a longtime collaborator and partner of Chuck Barris, the prolific game show producer and original host of The Gong Show. The men worked together frequently during the height of the game show boom in the 1970s.

Beginning in 1966, Case began contributing to the shows The Newlywed Game, The Family Game, The New Treasure Hunt, Rhyme and Reason, Stumpers! and All Star Secrets.

In 1984, he contributed to The New Newlywed Game, hosted by Bob Eubanks. Beginning in 1986, Case worked on The All-New Dating Game, Triple Threat, Supermarket Sweep and That’s Amore.

The Newlywed Game was perhaps the best known of Case's productions. The series pitted recently married couples against each other in a series of revealing question rounds to determine how well the spouses really knew each other.

Case died May 25, 2016.
