First place winner Ian Worrell accepts his award in the Traditional Animation area, as presenter Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy producer, creator and voice actor) looks on at the 2007 CTA Gala.

The highlight of the CTA competition is the Gala Awards Ceremony which takes place each March in Los Angeles. Winners are celebrated and receive their plaques and cash prizes.

The Gala has become a very special Academy occasion, attended by more than 400 industry leaders, including Academy members and governors, students, academics and the press.

The outstanding student works get exposure to the television industry, other students and faculty nationwide. In addition, promos of the first, second and third place winning pieces are shown at the ceremonies. Winning pieces in their entirety can be seen on line at mtvU.com, the Sundance Channel and Plum.
