North Hollywood, CA –
For the first time in its 60-year Primetime Emmy® Award history, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will be opening an official website for posting and viewing "For Your Consideration" screeners of Emmy-eligible programs and professional achievements.
The site, which is being produced in conjunction with the Hollywood Reporter and the Nielsen Company, launches on Monday, May 19, and will provide Primetime competition entrants a platform for voting members of the Television Academy to view their work. The website will be secured, password protected and only accessible by those voting members. These screeners will remain on the site through Friday, August 29.
This year, companies and individuals will be able to mail hard copy “For Your Consideration” screeners to Academy members and use the screener website at no extra charge. Entrants who choose to exclusively use the screener site will no longer have the additional expenses of DVD replication, postage, packaging and fulfillment house charges.
