Social Buzz: Resurrection, Homeland, More

In this week's snapshot, we see how returning favorites Homeland and Arrow, along with the latest edition of American Horror Story, fared against freshman series Resurrection, Mulaney, The Flash and Kingdom.

We can’t believe it’s the middle of October already — brisk air, apple cider, and of course, your favorite TV shows.

Last week, we saw the long-awaited return of season favorites like Homeland and Arrow, the beginning of new shows Resurrection, Mulaney, The Flash, Kingdom — plus the latest edition of FX anthology series American Horror Story: Freak Show.

With so many awesome choices, we wondered the following:

•After Resurrection’s splashy marketing campaign this summer, how much did fans talk about its premiere?

•How engaged were fans with the return of Homeland after the shocking events of last season?

•How did DC’s returning Arrow — and its brand new spin-off The Flash — fare in social?

•How did fans react to the third original drama offering from DirecTV, Kingdom?

•Did fans fall for the Emmy-winning writer’s starring role in the new ensemble comedy Mulaney?

•Did American Horror Story: Freak Show series strike a chord with fans?

Here’s what we found:

American Horror Story scared away the rest of the competition on Facebook with 329.8 engagements per 1K fans, while Kingdom took the crown on Twitter with a killer 1182.4 engagements / 1K followers.
