Television Academy members have several parking options when attending events at the Saban Media Center:
- $7 per car in the structure adjacent on the east of the Saban Media Center
- $15 per car in the Kaiser Permanente parking structure directly behind/north of the Saban Media Center on Weddington Street
- Metered street parking on Lankershim Blvd., Magnolia Blvd., Weddington Street, or other nearby streets
You can take the Metro to the North Hollywood Metro Red Line Stop two blocks north of the Television Academy on Lankershim Blvd. Click here for Metrolink Routes.
PLEASE NOTE: Effective March 1, 2017, the driveways around the Media Center may be partially obstructed due to construction. Please use caution.
Please note that the $7 parking structure adjacent to our new Saban Media Center has never been owned or operated by the Television Academy.
However, the Television Academy's after-work and weekend use of the parking structure has been governed by a 1997 license agreement which set parking rates at $2 for 1997, $3 for 1999, and "...fair market parking rental... as reasonably determined by the owner from and after January 1, 2001."
Our members enjoyed $4 parking from 2001 through spring of 2016, when the current owner, Kennedy Wilson (landlords for the eight-story office tower opposite our campus), informed us they would raise parking to $10, as standard parking rates are now $15.
Kennedy Wilson would not consider returning to the $4 rate, but we negotiated the current $7 parking rate.
The Television Academy makes no money from these parking fees; it is a pass-through expense only. We are consistently looking for more economical alternatives for our members, and will continue to do so.
