David Eun
David Eun is executive vice president, Open Innovation Center, for Samsung Electronics.
In this role, he leads Samsung’s efforts to drive software and services innovation, with a focus on start-ups. He is responsible for early-stage investments, acquisitions, partnerships and Accelerators in Silicon Valley and New York, both of which build internal start-ups with preferred access to Samsung’s operating units.
Eun also oversees SmartThings, the recently acquired open platform for the connected home and consumer internet of things.

Eun is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
