Aida's comedy special Fighting Words is currently streaming on Max. The special concludes with a travel documentary of Aida's trips to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic celebrating her vibrant heritage and reuniting with her estranged father. The doc was directed by award-winning Puerto Rican documentarian Nadia Hallgren (Michelle Obama's BECOMING). She is a key collaborator on the platform's Entre Nos franchise, which features the brightest up-and-coming LatinX comedy talent. Aida was not only a breakout star of the series early in her career, she also recently stepped behind the camera to direct its current batch of specials, as well as Ian Lara's Romantic Comedy, and Marcella Arguello's Grow Up, Bitch! Aida's previous half hour special premiered on Netflix's hit comedy series They Ready, Executive Produced by Tiffany Haddish and Wanda Sykes. In reviews Decider gushed that the special "will have you laughing, crying and begging for more."
