Gayle S. Maffeo was an American television producer.

Maffeo began her television career in the programming department at CBS in New York. She worked as a script supervisor on The Sid Caesar Show and The Perry Como Show and spent six years as Jack Benny's associate producer. She also worked on several variety specials with such legendary entertainers as Frank Sinatra and George Burns.

Maffeo began her television career in the programming department at CBS in New York. She worked as a script supervisor on The Sid Caesar Show and The Perry Como Show and spent six years as Jack Benny's associate producer. She also worked on several variety specials with such legendary entertainers as Frank Sinatra and George Burns.

Moving into series television, Maffeo served as producer on a variety of successful sitcoms including Buffalo Bill, Head of the Class, Roseanne, Mary (with Mary Tyler Moore), and Carol & Company (with Carol Burnett). She then became senior vice president of television for Wind Dancer Productions, for which she produced shows such as Thunder Alley, Buddies, Soul Man, and all eight seasons of the hit ABC series Home Improvement.

Maffeo was a member of The Directors Guild, Women in Film, The Hollywood Television and Radio Society, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Producers Guild, and served on the board of The American Association of Producers, which she also co-founded.

Maffeo died September 9, 2022 in Los Angeles, California. She was 81.
