Renée Villafan
Renée Villafan has spent her career in daytime and primetime production at Sony Pictures Television, currently serving as Director of Production and Soaps. Having covered the iconic daytime dramas The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives for the past 16 years, she also manages physical production on SVOD programs including Wheel of Time (Amazon), premium cable productions including Outlander (Starz), and broadcast series such as Fantasy Island (FOX).

As a distinguished member of the TV Academy, Renée cultivates working relationships with key figures at NATAS in order to affect meaningful change in the Daytime Emmy Awards process that benefit all members of the Daytime community.
In her decade-plus of service at the TV Academy, Renée currently serves as Governor of the Daytime Programming Peer Group and Chair of the Daytime Awards Committee, and has sat on the committees for Primetime Awards, Television Honors, Governor's Award and TV Academy Membership.
Renée earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television Production from Temple University, Philadelphia, having also completed the university's Honors College track, and was a member of domestic and international honor societies.
